Search Continues in Calhoun County For Missing Man Dale Higley

Updated September 25, 2025; Posted September 25, 2025

Dale Higley missing Fredonia Township, Michigan

The search for Dale Higley continues in Calhoun County, following his disappearance earlier this month.

47 year old Dale Higley was last seen in Fredonia Township, Michigan on September 7, 2025. He disappeared after leaving his home following a seizure.

Around 3:00 pm on September 7, 2025, Dale Higley was last seen on foot in the area of 15½ Mile Road and J Drive South in Fredonia Township, Michigan.

Higley left his home in Marhsall following a seizure, and hasn’t been heard from since. Police say he may be disoriented or in danger.

Family members told News Channel 3 that Higley, who has epilepsy, had a seizure in front of his six year old daughter before he wandered out of his home. His loved ones say it’s unusual for him to just walk off like that.

Authorities are asking everyone in the area to check their security and doorbell cameras for any signs of him.

Residents are asked to review home security systems, doorbell cameras, and trail cameras for any possible sightings. At this time, there is no danger to the public. Law enforcement and emergency responders continue to actively search the area.

If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Dale Higley please contact Sgt Joel Flees at (269) 781-0880, or Calhoun County Dispatch at (269) 781-0911.

Why did law enforcement not rule out kidnapping when it was well known he had just won a custody hearing on the Thursday before his disappearance?

Why didn’t responding officers lock down the scene until forensic testing was done?

Did responding officers have a personal relationship with the missing person?

“Family Members” referred to is his ex girlfriend whom he shared 50/50 custody with who is supposedly the one to call 911 and she wanted more custody and he just won that hearing the Thursday before. DJ had no brothers/sisters, no mom/dad, no aunts/uncles, no grandparents and no long term relationship. He needs your help

Many that know DJ for many years have never heard of him or witnessed him having a “medical episode” that would make him fall to the floor and then disappear.

When close friends arrived shortly after and raised concerns through out the first hour, first day, second day and so on and had asked investigators to investigate they had declined. One of those friends even brought a UV flashlight to provide assistance. The scene was like a circus with elephants running around under the big top. It truly is PUZZLING to see concerns from loved ones go unnoticed. It should be something to be concerned with

I’m personally have never been in law enforcement but some things aren’t just adding up to me being on the outside looking in. I wonder if any law enforcement can tell the world if it’s standard operating procedure to:

When responding to a medical 911 call, Who is the officer responsible for deciding if an individual who’s missing walked away or kidnapped.

Does this officer usually have a body camera on?

Does usually that process take some significant amount of time to properly access the scene, collect statements from witnesses, and properly secure the scene just in case that officer was wrong?

Is there another authoritative figure who would confirm findings of officer before unanimously determining the decision that missing person left on foot?

Is it common for law enforcement to state “on foot” when it is unknown how missing person left home without minor child?

Just curious if someone out there has some answers to those questions.

Another peculiar observation from an eyewitness approximately 27 minutes after the first officer on the scene was that a concerned family member questioned a phone call made by wet PLAIN CLOTHES OFFICER #1 to a person who whom they felt in the best interest of DALE HIGLEY would not have wanted them to call and that person asked “WHY did you call that person?” And then approximately 30 minutes later that person had arrived on scene in an orange shirt… And yet still today do not have that answer to that question.

Why call the guy Dale would not want you to call???

And to top it off that guy shows up in orange shirt, the only orange shirt on the scene at that time.

    Let me get these facts straight;

Dj had a lady friend who would stay nights occasionally at his home but on Wednesday before he disappeared witnesses say Dale Higley stated “she’s not my girlfriend” even though they’ve known each other for many years he told friends she wasnt his girlfriend.

The ex girlfriend who previously tried to sabotage his life is the one who says he had a seizure and called 911 with being present at his home.

The plain clothes officer with water on his shirt who went to school with Dale had listened to his EX’s story on what happened to DALE JACOB HIGLEY and discharged Dales Daughter and her mother who called 911 before actual loved ones could help determine the facts to give plain clothes officer #1 more information to help determine if there was “FOUL PLAY” but with the ex’s information and the plain clothes officers history of the the missing person he determined the authorities found no foul play. Even after concerns about the questionable phone call to a person in orange shirt driving a white truck whom best interest of dales would not have been a person to be called the authorities found no foul play and that he must of walked away…..

Many oddities and peculiar chain events on this medical call. I’m curious if students at the local Western Michigan University presented with the readily available information on the circumstances regarding the mysterious disappearance of DALE HIGLEY would come up with the same possible conclusion as the CALHOUN COuNTY SHERIFFS OFFice has stated there is “no signs of foul play”.

    Facts:

The Ex girlfriend who just lost in court was the one “family” who stated he had a seizure and had left with Dales daughter before close friend arrived shortly after.

First person on scene (approximately 1 hr after first 911 call of 2) that truly had Dales best interest at heart stated he thought Dale was KIDNAPPED at that time approximately 27 minutes after reported first officer on scene and was disregarded by plain clothes officer who thru public knowledge can find went school together with DJ HIGLEY and that officer made a questionable phone call to a man in orange who witnesses say that Dale had just said he never wanted to see the person again.

The detective investigating declined to investigate any and all of the concerns of people who have dales best interest at heart.

The detective and his supervisor think it’s ok to NAME DROP people to people he’s possibly investigating.

Those are the facts kids, you decide,
    A. Most likely walked away

    B. Kidnapped via a well planned and coordinated attack on the LIFE, LIBERTY and PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS of DALE JACOB HIGLEY

Please let your thoughts be known students!

    According to Google,

Dale Higley’s “official narrative” is Higley, who has epilepsy, wandered away from home after a seizure and is considered an endangered missing person.

Google or “authorities” forgot to mention that is their narrative not the eyewitness on the scene 27 minutes after “first officer was on the scene”. At that time his ex girlfriend who just lost in court on Thursday before and his young daughter had been dismissed from the crime scene. It was unknown how he left his home after an unreliable witness said he had a paralyzing “grand mal seizure” and “authorities” must’ve thought it was better to let people to destroy any evidence than an actual investigation on how he disappeared without his daughter.
According to authorities they are continuing to look for him and and investigating on how he actually left his home.

Dale Higley did not walk away from his home on 9-7-25. The authorities declared that at that time but instead of collecting available information they decided to look in the bush…

If the authorities can’t read the scene or look at the facts they should be permanently dismissed from duty. This is plan as day “smoke and mirrors” without Dale Higley to tell his side of the story.

Calhoun County is a sad county to live in when people are so scared to speak up against TYRANNY and the official narrative of Dale Higley, a man of morals and a local businessman who dealt with mostly CASH and had a cash box that no one is talking about…. Maybe he’s holding the cash box wherever he is walking? F.B.I. Or Michigan State Police is needed to control the out of control people who have taken an oath to the public to “Protect and Serve” not take your X’s word that you had a seizure that you’ve never had before.
