47 year old Dale Higley was last seen in Fredonia Township, Michigan on September 7, 2025. He disappeared after leaving his home following a seizure.
Disappearance
Around 3:00 pm on September 7, 2025, Dale Higley was last seen on foot in the area of 15½ Mile Road and J Drive South in Fredonia Township, Michigan.
Higley left his home in Marhsall following a seizure, and hasn’t been heard from since. Police say he may be disoriented or in danger.
Investigation
A Michigan State Police helicopter was dispatched to the scene and searched overnight, but was unable to find him.
Family members told News Channel 3 that Higley, who has epilepsy, had a seizure in front of his six year old daughter before he wandered out of his home. His loved ones say it’s unusual for him to just walk off like that.
Authorities are asking everyone in the area to check their security and doorbell cameras for any signs of him.
Residents are asked to review home security systems, doorbell cameras, and trail cameras for any possible sightings. At this time, there is no danger to the public. Law enforcement and emergency responders continue to actively search the area.

Dale has brown hair, hazel eyes, stands 5’10, and weighs 150 pounds.

Dale Higley was not seen walking away from his home. For 2 weeks the first responders declared they are unsure how he left home without his 6 yr old.
Many that know DJ think he was kidnapped.
There is way more evidence of a pre mediated kidnapping than evidence DJ is just another guy who walked away.

Also his concerns are not the fact he faced some epilepsy challenges in life , the concern is HE’S MISSING and his ex-girlfriend is the one who states he had a “medical episode”. Wow, one can not believe how many resources had went into a ground search to locate a man who was not witnessed leaving his home even with a close friend stating to PLAIN CLOTHES OFFICER #1 who appeared to have water spilled onto his nice clean polo style short sleeve shirt that Dales Ex had just lost in court on Thursday. It is truly SAD that in 27 minutes that someone was declared walking when it is obvious who flipped the coin to A before close friend arrived. I’m curious who’ll Reimburse the taxpayers for all the wasted money on a ground search when all the signs pointed to the B side of the coin KIDNAPPING. His community should rally behind him and support that fact that Dale’s family or loved ones didn’t have a choice to choose to investigate. It appears to witnesses that Plain Clothes Officer #1 made the choice to call the A side , he hit the floor with a grand mal seizure and then ran down 2 flights of stairs and mind you faster then a dog can smell. A proper STATE POLICE or FBI investigation is warranted.
When you have a plain clothes officer with water on his shirt making the call for your loved ones and then you have a detective that refuses to look at evidence it’s a sad county to live in if these people who have taken a oath to serve and protect refuse to listen to anyone except the missing ex girlfriend it’s obvious there’s…..

Well yeah that certainly does sound peculiar. Witnesses on dales behalf say the questionable character in orange was seen driving a newer white pickup truck and it is known he has an older one as well which potentially may have been seen in the area prior to time of incident. If only option B would have been called, the authorities could have collected a little more data before making the call to

So let me get this straight, the ex who Dale told his friends while he was in hospital for motorcycle accident she called his customers to sabotage him, she’s the one who consoled their daughter gave, proper witness statements and drive from wherever she was in less than an hour? That’s crazy the authorities didn’t think that call over a little better. Especially when a close friend of Dales arrived shortly after mom and daughter had left. If that isn’t foul play, what is?
It seems the Walking away” was Plan B if someone lost in court and had the help she needed from the inside. It just happens that an old classmate of Dales is calling his sabotaging EX to be called the “family” the authorities are talking about.m, she and he did not have dales or his daughters best interest at heart. It is truly concerning, A former classmate of dales is the officer who called a known enemy of Dale Higley from the scene, a guy who’s got a wet shirt and has known dale for a long time but obliviously calling his EX girlfriend his family did not have his best interest at heart… hhmmmm can someone from the outside call foul on the inside? It’s rather odd when close family arrived shortly after and had never seen plain clothes officer with a pen doing paperwork, not a camera taking pictures and witness says that he seemed to be out of breath. Very very suspicious that a plain clothes officer with no body camera and had known Dale Higley for a long time would allow his EX girlfriend be the one to say he walked away. The public is in danger with people like that wearing a badge

Shortly after “medical incident” close friend arrived and stated “FOUL PLAY” and questioned actions by AUTHORITIES.

It truly is and should be a concern for all of the citizens in the area that the Dale Higley disappearance occurred . When looking at the facts at hand whether 1 hr after the first 911 call of 2 or today. The facts remain the same.
Staring with the fact DJ Higley’s ex girlfriend is the one to call authorities in the first place and Dale Higley was just witnessed the morning of at his choice of worship, the grocery store and downtown prior to his disappearance.
You have an officer with no body camera on that’s known of Dale Jacob Higley since they were in school not listening to the concerns of DALE’S loved ones and does not lock down the scene so others authorities can investigate.
You have a detective that doesn’t look at any available evidence that strongly suggests Foul Play.
You have a sheriffs office that continues to be silent and persistent on sticking with the original determination that Dale Higley “walked away”
The conflicts of interest that involved questionable parties starting with the first nine one one call is totally disregarded.
I wonder when presented the evidence at hand if the young professionals that are studying law enforcement will determine the same conclusion?

Who is Dale Jacob Higley?
An independent father who has no immediate family, a man who has struggled with ex on custody issues of a minor child, a long time local small business owner, a man of faith that allowed him to trust the public servants put in place to protect and serve him.
Dale Jacob Higley’s typical work day includes driving a large vehicle that requires knowledge and steady hands to control actions that could end his life at any moment, Dale Jacob Higley has climbed and cut trees for more 30 years without ever having a grand mal seizure that would effect his ability to operate his business. He is careful and methodical on his daily habits and aware of the persistent dangers that surround him.
On the Day of Dales mysterious disappearance he had attended his choice of worship with a congregation that he thought was there for him even when he wasn’t there in physical form and left approximately at noon. He then stopped by the grocery store right after and then was witnessed downtown Marshall with his young Daughter approximately 1:45. Then things get a little out of whack for dales typical Sunday afternoon.

First officer on scene @3:23
First close friend on scene @3:50 and at that time there were 3 sheriffs officers present and 2 paramedics and they had determined that he must of walked away.
Dale Jacob Higley is a talker and has a sense of humor that could make you laugh. His favorite one liner was “That’s what she said”.
Wow, let me get this straight, Dale Jacob Higley has no record of ever having a “Grand Mal Seizure) and his ex girlfriend called in (2) 911 calls to report he had one?
Very suspicious indeed when you factor in the plain clothes officer who has known of Dj Higley for 30 years did not think that itself was foul play.
So the ex girlfriend who called in 911 picked up their daughter from the crime scene and didn’t stick around longer than a few minutes to see how and possibly help “Law Enforcement” look for evidence to see if he walked away or was kidnapped???
Then with no EVIDENCE the authorities must’ve come to the conclusion he walked away disoriented due to his questionable seizure that he never had recorded before???? Then the Authorities called a guy who Dale Higley just was quoted with “he never wanted to see that guy an again”???? These are the same authorities who want you to believe Dale Higley is out walking around and they are investigating which way he is walking??? There’s so many questionable actions and processes that followed you could write a book on just how this was mishandled from the very beginning without even getting into the actual crime that took place. Dale Higley worked a full hard day on Friday and completed one half of a big tree job and was to return on Monday morning to finish but hey his ex girlfriend said he had a seizure and since Dale Higley isn’t there to say differently and authorities refuse to look at the available evidence… hmmmmm if that doesn’t smell like foul play your nose must be plugged or you have your George Orwell glasses on. This is an obvious planned and complete coverup of Dale Higley and his disappearance and his daughter and the public deserves to know the truth of the matter.

Dale Higley was a successful business man who dealt with lots of cash and owned 4 properties in Michigan and did not trust his ex girlfriend or many people for that matter.
He recently connected with a girl who he knew from school but would not claim her as girlfriend but unknown to others she’s closely connected with his choice of worships inner circle. That place of worship he left 3 hrs before disappearing just happens to have a pastor who is a forensics and polygraph expert and runs a private investigation company and was recently quoted with saying he couldn’t take Dale Higley case because of conflict of interest…. I wonder if Dale Higley knew this or that his pastor wouldn’t investigate his disappearance… hmm interesting fact is also out of the 100+ people who showed up on short notice to look for Dale Higley in cornfields no one claimed to be from his church…
Unofficial but common sense constitutes as Foul play:
1. Ex girlfriend calls authorities and picks up kid and disappears within 1 hour from 1st 911 call. (It was known that she just lost in court and it is known she’s tried to sabotage Dale Jacob Higley before)
2. Responding officers did not question neighbors if they seen anything out of ordinary before 911 call.
3. Ex classmate and one of first officers on scene is not wearing a uniform or body cam contacts Dale Higley’s known enemy from the scene (who was witnessed in the area prior to 911 call) and then dismisses kidnapping/murder theory to concerned friend.
3. Day 2, scent specific dog jumps in Dale Higley’s swimming pool.
4. Day 3, lead detective laughs at friend looking for evidence with UV light (covering for plain clothes officer)
5. Mysterious man in orange who was contacted by plain clothes officer disappears out of the missing person scene and mysteriously is talked to by detective on day 10…
The key 4 peoples cell phone data should be easy to put the pieces of murder together and then the accessories after the fact will fall in place. The light will reveal the truth
Interesting about the K9 jumping in the pool because a witness says Dale Higley just received a used pool pump from his ex girlfriend the week prior to his disappearance… the day of his mysterious disappearance the low temperature was 37 degrees, a bit chilly to be swimming.
Very very interesting that with approximately 50+ personal on the scene the day of his disappearance that the next day, the trained Scent Specfic Bloodhound jumped into his swimming pool… those dogs are either very smart or the exact opposite. If I was a gambling man, my money would be on the dogs…
let’s hypothetically say Dale went swimming and then left in the back of a pickup truck.
If someone is investigating; the biggest clue to where the hypothetical truck went to after Dale hypothetically went swimming is to follow the guy the cop called, the guy who was seen in the area prior to ambulance arriving and then showed up with an orange shirt on and had a girl with him and then later left the scene to never “help” again, follow him after he left Dale Higley’s and then maybe you’ll find where Dale Higley walked to…
Where is Dale Higley and where is his money?
Dale Higley HAD many assets on 9-7-2025, very puzzling why CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF didn’t think CASH MONEY could be a partial motive?
He had short term cash; cash on hand at all times in his wallet (ask anyone who knew Dale Higley he always paid with cash), DALE HIGLEY had a safety deposit box, DJ HIGLEY had a safe in his home and recently DALE JACOB HIGLEY had just sold his mother’s home after her passing and with that said there is a very good possibility that DALE HIGLEY had an extra-large amount of cash at the time of his disappearance.
Dale Jacob Higley had long term money as well;
The cabin and the former BERRY PATCH Restaurant in the U.P. (co owner with 911 caller) a nice self sustainable home with solar panels & windmill and a woodburner, garage stuffed with toys like a Harley Davidson motorcycle, A brand new snowmobile, a nice camper, you know, all the toys a guy that’s doing good has. Not like people who are living in foreclosed properties or people that try to cling on to something that’s not rightfully there’s, like old business partners that think they still have interest into DALE HIGLEY’S MONEY. FYI: rumors have it that DALE HIGLEYS Safety Deposit Box was emptied out 6 months after he disappeared and it was not his family that headed back to Wisconsin. You’d think CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFFS would put a hold on any assets with DALE HIGLEYS NAME ON IT SINCE HES MISSING, but hey they must think a walking guy doesn’t care if someone else takes his money.
Let’s see if we can dig up any verifiable information that Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office knew or did not know DALE JACOB HIGLEY was a man of cash money and they have a record of that, and a record of any pertinent information regarding finances to people DALE HIGLEY WOULD NOT WANT ON HIS PROPERTY.
Well, it won’t take long to find official verified CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF documents stating that DALE HIGLEY kept cash in REDACTED in his home dated 1-6-2025. This publicly available official document specifically states that 2 different Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies Witnessed DALE HIGLEY retrieve CASH MONEY FROM (REDACTED) to give his “Girlfriend” (REDACTED) to bail him out for the charge of DUI he was being placed under arrest for. 100% proof that Calhoun County Sheriff’s office was aware just a few months prior that DALE HIGLEY had kept large amounts of CASH in his home.
Does CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF’s department have a money related record of someone who was on DALE HIGLEY’S property on 9-7-25 that should not have been there? Well certainly they do, a SHERIFF FORECLOSURE SALE was just done a few months prior to DALE HIGLEY disappearance for, drum roll please, yup, you guessed it, the ORANGE SHIRT GUY was living in a home that he didn’t pay for and was waiting to give up possession when DALE HIGLEY disappeared and the SHERIFF’S knew that.
After DALE HIGLEY disappeared and plain shirt cop did his 10 minutes worth of investigating did he find DALE HIGLEY’S wallet? nope, DALE HIGLEY’S CURRENT EMPLOYEE HAS STATED TO DALE HIGLEYS FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT HE WILL TESTIFY IN A COURT OF LAW THAT DALE HIGLEYS Wallet was found in his white ford ranger by yup you guessed it again, ORANGE SHIRT GUY found DALE HIGLEYS WALLET WITH NO MONEY! Crazy HUH? DALE HIGLEY a man who kept cash in home and thats in recent CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFFS OWN RECORDS and now they say he walked away with no money in his wallet and the guy in ORANGE SHIRT guy who’s flat broke and desperate finds his wallet and that’s not weird? Talk about contaminating a crime scene and disregarding the obvious. This ORANGE SHIRT GUY’s neighbor even mentioned on record some but not nearly all of his numerous suspicious actions to other SHERIFF officers to no avail. All of these potential money motives there in plain sight for CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFFS is to many red flags for any amateur to say they didn’t steer a certain direction.
In January’s report is that the same girl who claimed at the time of his disappearance to be his girlfriend? In the small town of MARSHALL it was well known that Dale Higley was a bachelor who at times had multiple lady friends at the same time… Was it the SMITH girl who is also an ex girlfriend that left a nasty message on CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF’S first official communications with the public on the disappearance of DALE J HIGLEY dated 9-7-2025 with the message being deleted shortly after but many concerned citizens seen the message and are now commenting about that deleted message and the message was something like ” DALE HIGLEY IS A PIECE OF >>>> HE LEFT ME AND MY DAUGHTER IN OHIO”
Money isn’t always someone’s motive but for DALE HIGLEY, he had money and the CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT knew that and there is a record of it.
Evidence of a Coverup over the Murder of DALE JACOB HIGLEY
Aka: RED FLAGS CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFFs should have flagged for foul play but CALHOUN COUNTY the land of the red FLAGS.
1st. Red Flag, Stated 911 caller is mother of DALE HIGLEY’S only child and nearest next of kin was elderly woman which was exploited.
2nd Red Flag with Extras (Conflicts of Interest)
First officer on scene was reported at 3:23pm and @ 3:45 A employee of DALE HIGLEY arrived on scene and witnessed no Mother or Child and Employee’s specific concerns of kidnapping and murder were ignored by plain clothes officer #1 whom at that time did not disclose his relationship to DALE HIGLEY as later said employee learned they were in many yearbooks together in school when it was common knowledge Dale Higley had minor seizures but never a record of a Grand Mal.
3rd Red Flag Said officer in Plain clothes did not secure the scene to allow others to investigate further than the 20+ minutes an officer had been on the scene before DALE JACOB HIGLEY’s Employee arrived on scene, that’s assuming the mother and the first officer arrived on scene at DALE HIGLEY’s home at the exact same time… Dale has told many people that she lives an hour away from his home so her phone records should have been subpoenaed the first day and public records indicate none of the responding officers live near by.
4th Red Flag (x2) and ONE of the BIG ONES
Morning of September 8th, Critical time still in the investigation. Friends and employees of DALE J HIGLEY gather in the early hours long before any officers arrive, it was noted by friends and employees of DJ HIGLEY how there seemed to be no sense of urgency from authorities when they arrived. When a third party search effort involving specialized scent specific dogs that Calhoun County does not have arrived that was called in by CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF’s office by the name of CALHOUN COUNTY CERT (Specialized Scent Specific K9 Tracking dogs) friends and family were relieved they were told not to contaminate the scene with their scent so they could not walk in the woods. Upon the (2) dogs arrival witnesses state the dogs independently walked from DALE HIGLEYS PORCH STEPS towards his four foot above ground swimming pool. One dog jumped on the edge of pool with front paws and other dog completely jumped into the pool. Upon exiting the pool both dogs were witnessed independently walking WEST THRU DALE HIGLEYS FRONT YARD TOWARDS 15 ½ MILE RD, APPROXIMELTY WHERE THE AMUBLANCE WAS PARKED THE DAY BEFORE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YARD FOR SOME REASON??? Then both dogs were witnessed going North on 15 ½ Mile Rd. With previous no foul play determined by someone who is responsible for making that call, 1 K9 Scent Specfic dog going to the pool might be an anomaly but both SCENT SPECFIC DOGS TRAILED TO HIS POOL THEN THE ROAD, not the highway where the ORANGE SHIRT GUY was seen but the road and in the direction the neighbor witnessed who they had thought was the ex employee of HIGLEY who was in one of the white trucks, whoever made that call made a horrible decision. Theres no way to miss that bombshell of evidence of a trail to foul play of DALE HIGLEY. Someone investigating obviously was not PROTECTING AND SERVING DALE HIGLEY but that person whoever was investigating was PROTECTING A MURDERER(S) and SWERVING AROUND THE TRUTH> CALHOUN COUNTY ~~~~Protect and Swerve
5th Red Flag
Witnessed by many the following Day the Employee of DALE HIGLEY brought a UV Flashlight to look for Evidence and the Detective dismissed everyone’s concerns even about the dogs in the pool. How many red flags can one detective give without turn bright red himself?

7 months of silence by the CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE and continuing to lie and say he walked away on foot, specifically he was “SEEN” walking on foot. Well, by the dogs nose all evidence is showing that DALE HIGLEYS FEET WERE WET WHEN HE LEFT HIS PROPERTY and his empty wallet was in his truck…
It almost appears there is a NO FOUL PLAY CREW out there doing some dirty work. Dale HIGLEY is similar to what happened to HEATHER COUSINO in ALBION Township CALHOUN COUNTY a few years back, her family whom stated at the time that they thought she had been kidnapped and concerns were dismissed and sure enough her body was found in the exact place were people were standing a year ago and CALHOUN COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE tried to convince family they just missed her body.
