Wendy Dehoop was born on November 5, 1960. She formerly worked as a police dispatcher, and was employed by Georgia-Pacific Mill at the time of her disappearance.
She lived with her husband Dan in the town of Cottage Grove, Oregon.
Disappearance
At 7:00 am on April 22, 2005, Wendy Dehoop dropped her husband off at work at the Home Depot located in the 1000 block of Green Acres Road in Eugene, Oregon.
She was then going to drive to her job at Georgia-Pacific in Hasley, Oregon, about 30 miles away, but never arrived.
Both her boss and husband reported her missing when she failed to show up.
Investigation
On April 28, 2005, a man found her purse (with the wallet missing) while out walking his dog and turned it in to the Eugene Bi-Mark store.
On May 2, 2005, Four days after her purse was found the same man led investigators to Wendy’s vehicle, a white two-door 1990 Toyota Corolla SR5 with Oregon plate number YCH635, parked on the Lorane Highway near Fillmore Street in south Eugene, Oregon. There was no sign of Wendy at the scene.
The car was impounded by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office and taken to the Oregon State Police crime lab in Springfield. According to reports there was nothing of evidentiary value found in the car, nor any signs of violence or foul play.
Wendy is one of three women who went missing from the same area within 30 days. Helen Orderman-Pratt went missing from her home in Goshen on March 21, 2005, and Rebecca Lynn Hess disappeared from her apartment in Creswell on April 14, 2005.
Orderman-Pratt was found deceased on September 6, 2005, inside the detached garage of her home. The circumstances of Hess’ discovery are unclear, but she is no longer listed as missing.
Whereabouts
The location of Wendy Dehoop, as well as the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, remains unknown.
Investigators found no evidence that Wendy planned to leave on her own, but no signs of foul play either. Her case remains unsolved.
Appearance
Biracial female born on November 5, 1960. Wendy has black hair, brown eyes, stands 5’6 tall, and weighs 145 – 155 pounds.
Wendy wears contact lenses and her ears and belly button are pierced (with a barbell). She has small circular marks on her lower back, a scar on her lower abdomen from a C-section and hysterectomy, and burn scars on her leg and left arm.
Clothing & Accessories:
She was last seen wearing a suit jacket, black pinstriped pants, and possibly a silver band with a diamond cut design on her left ring finger.

If she dropped her husband off at work , was this before 07H00 , or after , was there anybody else in the car , when she was last seen? .
Was the person the one that handed in her purse also the one that led the police to her car ? .
How did the person know that it was her car , and what else did the person see ? .
What time was she going to fetch her husband from work ? .
Did the husband know that the other person was going to report her missing , or did they open a joint case i . e . different versions of what the other knew , or at different police stations ? .
Was any of the husbands co – worker ‘ s arriving at the same time and did they greet one another , did the wife if they greeted her reply to them ? .
What could have happened , leading up to her disappearance that would of caused the disappearance of her ? .
No one else saw how her husband arrived at work. She was planning to move out of her house that week. Wallet and car were located by different people. Her shift was supposed to be 12 hrs so she could not have picked him up after work. She was reported missing by her boss and another person long before her husband reported her missing.
