More than a year after he went missing, the vehicle of Ian Rogers has been found in Leon County.
On November 9, 2025, his truck was found in a remote wooded area off Old Plank Road, south of Tram Road in Leon County.
The area was processed by crime scene units from multiple law enforcement agencies. The sheriff’s office said the truck appeared to not have been moved for some time.
On the morning of August 26, 2024, Ian Rogers was last seen in Crawfordville, Florida. He told his family and coworkers that he was on his way to work, however he never showed up. Ian hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
He was last seen traveling in a 2019 white 4 door Dodge Ran 2500 with Florida license plate number RSKU57. The truck has metal side steps, and is a company work truck that he had gotten a few days earlier.
Ian’s boss, Joe Webster, told WTLX, that Rogers not showing up for work was out of character, which prompted him to go to his house to check on him the day he disappeared.
“I don’t know why he would have went that way. If he was going to just go home, he should just drive around Capitol Circle and then turn on Woodville Highway or Crawfordville Highway and drive home,” said Webster. “Driving further out the parkway to hit Chaires Cross Road and then cross all the way over Tram to Old Plank is just, you know, added 15-20 minutes to the drive.”
The investigation into Ian’s disappearance remains ongoing.
