Background

At the time of her disappearance, Susan Lane was living out of her car. She was known to frequent West Street, the Harbor 9 Cinema on Solomons Island Road, and the Giant Food store on Forest Drive in Annapolis, Maryland.

According to her family, Lane was on medication at the time of her disappearance and was receiving professional help for some mental health issues.

Disappearance

On March 2, 2020, Susan Lane was last seen at a 24-hour Mcdonald’s restaurant located at 1941 West Street in Annapolis, Maryland.

Around midnight, police officers were dispatched to the restaurant when Lane called 911 to report harassment from an unidentified woman. When questioned by police the woman denied harassing Lane. Officers did not pursue the matter further as they did not witness any offense.

Around 12:30 am, Lane’s last known contact was a call she made to her mother, saying she had been harassed that night and didn’t feel safe.

Around 9:30 am, her car, a brown BMW sedan, was found abandoned by a male acquaintance at a Shell Gas Station in the 2000 block of West Street in Annapolis, Maryland.

The car had been parked at one of the pumps for hours, with the driver’s side door ajar and keys in the ignition. Her purse and cell phone were found on the passenger seat.

The acquaintance used Susan’s cell phone to call Susan’s mother, telling her that Susan was missing.

Susan’s mother immediately drove to the gas station and reported her missing to the Anne Arundel Police Department.

Investigation

Susan Lane’s cell phone and car were handed over to the Anne Arundel Police Department for processing, but they have not released any information on what was found.

Investigators do not know if Susan drove her own car to the gas station, or if someone else did.

Before her disappearance, Susan told her mother multiple times that she was being targeted and that someone was stalking her.

Authorities found no evidence of foul play in Susan Lane’s disappearance. The investigation is currently ongoing and active.

Appearance

Physical Description:
White female with black hair and brown eyes. Susan is 5’4 tall and weighs 139 pounds.

Distinctive Physical Features:
Susan has multiple tattoos including a large vampire-like creature (with gown, staff or stick, and rocks) on her back and little (possibly green) birds or Vs or triangles around her upper legs and private parts. She has a scar on her neck.

Clothing and accessories:
Susan was last seen wearing a gray turtleneck shirt and white tennis shoes.
