Case Information

25 year old Shaquanna Rutherford was last seen in Salisbury, Maryland on May 19, 2025. She was last seen at the Wawa at 668 South Salisbury Boulevard.

Disappearance

On May 18, 2025, Shaquanna Rutherford, known to many as Kita, was last seen at the Wawa located at 668 South Salisbury Boulevard.

This is around the time she last had contact with her sister. She’s known to frequent the bridge by the La Quinta and Anchorage Nursing Home.

Rutherford struggles with mental health disorders and diabetes, but loved ones say that would not prevent her from getting help if she was in danger. She is considered critically missing due to health concerns, 

Investigation

Investigators now say Shaquanna was last seen near Salisbury City Park on or around May 20, 2025.

On June 5, 2025, police released security footage photographs of two men and asked for assistance in identifying them. They did not specify how they may be related to the case. The men have since been identified.

Searches were conducted in the Wicomico River from Downtown Salisbury to the Wicomico Yacht Club in Eden, but no clues as to Rutherford’s whereabouts were found.

Appearance

Shaquanna stands 5’2 tall and weighs 280 pounds. She had short brown hair at the time of her disappearance.
