Disappearance

On the evening of March 26, 2021, Sandra Eckert was last seen at her home near the County Dale Elementary School in Franklin, Wisconsin.

At 11:30 pm, she reportedly left home after getting into an argument with her husband, driving off in his 2005 dark grey Dodge Stratus with Wisconsin plate 319LGT. Sandra hasn’t been seen since.

At 3:00 am on March 27, 2021, the Dodge Stratus was seen by the Muskego Police Department. The vehicle was traveling southbound on Racine Avenue, then west on Tans Drive, then south on Crowbar Drive.

Neither Sandra or the vehicle have ever been found.

Investigation

Sandra’s cell phone, social media, and bank accounts have all been inactive since she went missing.

A few weeks after she disappeared, police searched Sandra’s home and took some electronic devices and other evidence.

Sandra’s case is being investigated as a homicide. Her husband, Wesley Eckert, and his brother remain persons of interest.

In April 2021, authorities searched the couple’s home again, and records indicate K9’s alerted to several locations inside the house and garage.

In June 2022, another search warrant was executed at a man’s home in Waukesha. It’s unclear what evidence, if any, was recovered.

In October 2025, Wesley Eckert was involved in a wrong-way crash while driving a vehicle that belonged to Sandra. He was cited $330 for driving the wrong way on a divided highway, which the Sheriff’s Office said believes was the result of a medical issue.

Sandra’s family is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction of the person(s) responsible.
