Robert is a Montgomery County native who is employed with the National Park Service. He attended Caney Valley schools and was a member of the Caney Boy Scouts.
Disappearance
On June 24, 2025, Robert Weaver was last known to be at Doroshin Bay Cabin on Skilak Lake on the Kenai Peninsula. Robert hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Investigation
Multiple searches, with the help of K9 units, helicopters, drones, rafts, and boats, have been conducted in the area where Robert was last seen.
On June 28, 2025, Robert’s backpack was found in a log jam where the Upper Kenai River meets Skilak Lake.
On July 1, 2025, Robert’s vehicle, a 2004 silver Toyota 4Runner with Alaska plate VBN225, was located. Robert is now thought to have last be in the Upper Kenai River area on June 25, 2025.
Official search operations concluded on July 4, 2025. Future efforts to locate Robert will be coordinated by Alaska State Troopers, Alaska State Parks, and the National Park Service.
Appearance
Robert has black hair, green eyes, stands 5’11 tall, and weighs 200 pounds.
