Remains found outside of Sedona city limits on October 17, 2025 have been positively identified as Yolan Miller. The cause of death has not been determined, as only partial remains were found.
38 Miller was last seen in Sedona, Arizona on June 19, 2022. She disappeared after leaving her apartment in a hurry, telling a roommate she was headed to Jerome, Arizona.
On June 24, 2022, Miller’s vehicle, a dark gray 2015 Ford Escape with the temporary license plate 885073B, was found abandoned on Forest Service Road 525 near the Honanki Heritage Site, about fifteen miles west of Sedona, Arizona.
The vehicle was parked at this location sometime around June 19, the day she went missing. Miller has autism and reportedly suffered from other health issues at the time, which would have prevented her from hiking extensively along the trail.
CCSO is asking anyone with information about Miller’s case to come forward. Anyone with information can contact CCSO Detective Cody Watson at (928) 226-5036, or CCSO at (928) 774-4523.
