On Monday, authorities announced that one of the two sets of remains found in Chattahoochee Hills last month has been identified through dental records as belonging to Jason Salter. The Medical Examiner has not released Salter’s cause of death, though police are investigating the case as a homicide.
Salter disappeared along with his colleague, Kenny Guerra, back on February 25 after meeting up for a business deal.
The remains were discovered on March 15 in a wooded area of Chattahoochee Hills, about 20 miles away from where Salter’s car was discovered. The second set of remains has not yet been identified.
Update: The second set of remains was positively identified as belonging to Kenny Guerra on May 5, 2023.
Both of their deaths have been ruled a homicide, though authorities have not named and suspects in the case.

The Disappearance of Kenny Guerra and Jason Salter
36-year-old Kenny Guerra and 40-year-old Jason Salter were last seen in East Point, Georgia on February 25, 2023. They disappeared after meeting up for a business deal.
Salter dropped his 15-year-son at home and left to meet his friend Kenny Guerra for a business deal in East Point. Around 5:00 p.m, Guerra was last seen by his girlfriend when he left home.
At 6:00 pm, Salter’s car was captured by street cameras on Campbellton Road. Both men were together at the time, and haven’t been heard from since.
On February 26, 2023, Jason’s brother reported him missing to the Hapeville Police Department.
Salter’s vehicle, a 2017 gray Nissan Altima with Georgia tag TEF4403, was found abandoned in the parking lot outside of a Family Dollar store in the 2000 block of Delowe Drive in East Point, Georgia.
Guerra’s BMW was found parked at the Reserve at Birch Creek Apartments on Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta, Georgia. Both men’s cell phones have been found.
Described as loving fathers and responsible men, Jason Salter and Kenny Guerra are best friends and business partners. Salter is a father of four and Guerra is a father of three.
At the time of their disappearance, the two friends were running the Rockstar Printing Shop on Old National Highway in College Park, Georgia. They also worked as bartenders.
