Remains found in Vinton, Louisiana this summer have been identified as missing mother of 6, Tameika Watley.
CPSO Forensic Investigation Unit detectives processed the scene and the remains were sent off for identification. Earlier this evening, CPSO detectives received information from the LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services (FACES) Lab that the remains were identified as those of Tameika S. Watley, Lake Charles. Watley was previously reported missing to CPSO in July 2024.
37 year old Watley was reported missing by her family in June 2024 after not showing up for several family gatherings.
On June 16, 2025, her remains were found near Gum Gully, in the 5400 block of Highway 90 West. She leaves behind 6 children.
