Human remains have been found during a search for missing pregnant teen Kylee Monteiro.
18 year old Monteiro was last seen in Rehoboth, Massachusetts on August 7, 2025. She was last seen in the area of her boyfriend’s house on County Street.
“Human remains consistent with those of Kylee Monteiro have been recovered,” Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn announced late Tuesday.
The discovery came during a search of the property where Kylee’s boyfriend, 22 year old Gregory Groom, lives.
Groom was taken into custody earlier today and charged with aggravated assault and battery on a pregnant woman, domestic assault and battery, and intimidation of a witness.
Prosecutors said the charges stem from “acts committed against 18-year-old Kylee Monteiro on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 107 County Street in Rehoboth.”
Investigators are awaiting confirmation from the autopsy for positive identification, but “based on the current state of the evidence” Quinn said Groom would be facing a murder charge.
Groom is being held without bail pending arraignment tomorrow morning in Taunton District Court.
