Background
Loved ones describe Reggie as a homebody who kept to a routine; he was always home from working at the Newport News shipyard by 5:00 pm. He only went out to cut people’s lawns, get food, and go to church.
Reggie is a single father to two adult children. He was looking forward to retirement at the time of his disappearance.
Disappearance
On May 20, 2018, Reggie Carter was last seen by family at his home on Big Stone Lane in Urbanna, Virginia.
On May 21, 2018, Reggie was last seen driving an older model white car in the Kilmer Point area of Middlesex County, Virginia. He hasn’t been heard from since.
Reggie’s keys, cell phone, wallet, clothes, and vehicles were all left behind at his residence.
Investigation
There has been no activity on Reggie’s bank account since May 19, 2018.
In October 2025, Reggie was legally declared dead, though his body has never been found.
Reggie’s family started the charity Let Me Say Something R.R.C. in his honor. It was created to “honor the life, purpose, and legacy of Randolph Reggie Carter and to help others who have experienced tragedy find hope, purpose, and a path forward.”

Black male with black hair and brown eyes. Reggie stands 5’2-5’3 tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds.
