Disappearance
In the early morning hours of August 5, 2024, Pierce Pitre was last seen walking down L’Anse Bourbeuse Road in Evangeline Parish.
His Toyota Camry ran out of gas in the Swords neighborhood in Ville Platte, and was later found abandoned with his wallet and keys inside.
Investigation
Pitre’s sister last spoke with him on the morning he went missing, when he told her about running out of gas. He asked her to come get him, but she was unable because she had just started a new job.
She tried calling him back later, but his phone died and has been off since he went missing.
His family says it’s uncharacteristic of him to go this long without contacting family. Pitre, who lives in Carencro, leaves behind a son.

Pierce stands 6’0 tall and weighs 250 pounds. He has his last name tattooed on his back.
