28 year old Davante Clark has been named as a person of interest in connection with the disappearance of Destin Henderson.
Clark was friends with Henderson, and has since been charged with capital murder in the case of 61-year-old Karen Miles after he was caught driving her car with stolen Arkansas plates.
Now authorities are looking to tie him to Henderson’s disappearance.
39-year-old Henderson was last seen at his apartment complex in Houston, Texas on October 24, 2023. He disappeared after telling his mother he had a friend over.
This week, authorities searched for signs of Henderson in empty fields in Harris County.

The Disappearance of Destin Henderson
Destin Lee Henderson was born on May 29, 1984. He is originally from Los Angeles California and is the father of a 17-year old daughter.
In 2023, Destin was a resident of Houston, Texas and lived in an apartment on Highland Cross Drive. He previously lived in Ohio before moving to Texas for his work as a job developer.
Described as caring and helpful, Destin stayed in close contact with his mother who lived in California. She says it’s unusual for her son to leave without telling anyone.
Disappearance
On October 24, 2023, Destin Henderson was last seen at his apartment at 411 Highland Cross Drive in Houston, Texas.
That evening Destin was on the phone with his mother when he told her he had a friend over. He was supposed to call her back after his friend left, but that call never came.
Destin hasn’t been seen or hard from since. His mother tried calling him several times the next day, but Destin never answered.
His friend filed a missing person’s report with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office after Destin failed to return home.
Investigation
Destin disappeared along with his cell phone, which last ping to an area in Aldine, Texas.
His vehicle, a 2015 red Honda Accord with Ohio license plate JHP-3537, was recovered and processed by investigators after his disappearance.
Destin’s family flew to Houston after his disappearance to do their own investigation. A comforter his mother had bought for him was in an outside storage container.
Authorities with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office say the investigation into his disappearance remains open and active.
