53 yer old MyungKi Kim was last seen at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on October 25, 2009. He disappeared after slipping on a rock at the Indian River Inlet and getting knocked into the water.
Disappearance
At the time of his disappearance, MyungKi Kim was living in Vienna, Virginia.
At 1:29 pm on October 25, 2009, the Coast Guard received a call from the Sussex Police Department reporting that a witness saw MyungKi Kim fall into the water at Rehoboth Beach.
He slipped on the rock of the jetty, and a wave knocked him into the water at Indian River Inlet, located 4 miles north of the Bethany Beach Town limits.
“The tide in the inlet was flooding, coming in, at that point. The witness said they saw the gentleman carried into the inlet,” said Petty Officer Crystalynn Kneen of Coast Guard Public Affairs, Atlantic City, New Jersey. She said the tide was flooding the area with 10-knot winds, 2-foot seas, and visibility of 10-nautical miles.
Search teams from multiple agencies, including boats and helicopters, were unable to locate him. He is presumed deceased.
Appearance
Asian male with black hair and brown eyes. Kim stands 5’9-5’11 tall and weighs 175-180 pounds.
Clothing & Accessories:
Kim was last seen wearing a dark blue raincoat and black and white wader boots with velcro straps, possibly “Banax” brand.
