On Wednesday, murder charges were filed against Dewayne Arthur Johnson II, the husband of Mischa Johnson who has been missing since July.
He has been charged with the murder of Mischa Johnson, intentionally killing her unborn child, obstruction of justice, and possession of child pornography.
19 year old Mischa was about six months pregnant at the time of her disappearance. Her body has not been found.

The Disappearance of Mischa Johnson
In 2024, Mischa Mabeline Kaalohilani had recently married her husband, Dewayne Arthur Johnson II. Described as a loving wife, she was six months pregnant and looking forward to raising their child.
The couple lived on Schofield Barracks, located on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaii. Dewayne Arthur Johnson was a US Army Private First-Class, assigned to the 25th Infantry Division as a cavalry scout.
Disappearance
On July 11, 2024, Mischa Johnson spent the day shopping at Costco with her mother.
On July 12, 2024, Mischa was last heard from when she spoke on the phone with her mother. Later that day, she was supposed to meet her older sister at a restaurant.
Mischa never showed up to the restaurant and hasn’t been heard from since. A text message was later sent from her phone number, stating that she was not feeling well and had stayed home.
On July 31, 2024, Mischa was reportedly last seen at home in the evening by her husband.
On August 1, 2024, her husband filed a missing person report with the Department of the Army – Criminal Investigation Division when Mischa was nowhere to be found that morning.
Investigation
Between July 12 and August 1, 2024, Mischa’s family received multiple texts from her cellphone. According to her sister, the text messages didn’t appear to be in her usual texting style, either in tone or punctuation.
On August 27, 2024, Dewayne Arthur Johnson was arrested and placed in military confinement in connection with his wife’s disappearance. He was charged with providing false official statements, obstruction of justice, and the production and distribution of child pornography.
