Investigation

On May 1, 2024, Yvonne’s vehicle, a 2012 Silver Kia Sorrento with AZ license plate LCNPL8T, was found abandoned at State Route 260 (milepost 249) and Forest Road 144, more than 50 miles away from her home.
The vehicle was located in a remote area between Camp Verde and the communities of Strawberry and Pine. Authorities believe it may have been there for approximately three weeks before it was reported.
According to authorities the car had a note on it indicating that she had called for roadside services.
On May 2, 2024, authorities conducted a search around the location of the car in an attempt to search for Yvonne, or to identify a potential crime scene, but clues as to her whereabouts were found.
Her dog’s leashes were recovered a little away from the car in the woods, but the dogs were nowhere to be found. Yvonne was reportedly familiar with the area as her family used to go there in the past.
By the time her car was discovered Yvonne’s phone service had been cut off. There’s been no activity on her social media or bank account since she went missing and her social security checks were left sitting in her post office box.
