Earlier today the Northampton County DA’s Office announced that missing teen Enci Wu had been found safe in Jasper, Georgia.
The DA says they’re still investigating, but that the teen will be returning to Leihigh Valley soon.
The Disappearance of Enci Wu

Enci “Aubrey” Wu was born on July 24, 2010 and is a freshman at Easton Area High School. She enjoys dancing, mock trial, and playing volleyball.
Her mother, Jade Wu is a native of China, and raised Aubrey as a single mother before moving to the United States and marrying John Gehrmann.
The family moved from California to the Easton, Pennsylvania area in 2023.
According to a post made by Gehrmann on Facebook, Aubrey “is in the throes of a serious mental health crisis.” Her parents say she struggles with blurring the line between reality and fantasy, and has an addiction to the Internet.
Disappearance
Sometime after 6:28 pm on January 10, 2025, Enci Wu left her parents house through a bedroom window while they were sleeping.
At approximately 8:00 pm the Palmer Township Police Department received a welfare check request from an anonymous user in Crime Watch.
When officers arrived at the Wu residence her parents were not aware she was missing from her bedroom.
Investigation
On January 11, 2025, police received an anonymous tip stating Enci was staying near Parkland High School in South Whitehall, about 20 miles away from her home.
Surveillance footage did capture Enci near Parkland High School, however she was gone by the time police arrived.
Police say Wu disposed of a secret cell phone she had, and left the area prior to police arriving at a residence where she was temporarily staying.
On January 15, 2025, police announced a $2,000 reward for information leading to the location of Enci.
