15 year old Michael MacDougal was last seen in Stilwell, Oklahoma on December 10, 2020. He was last seen walking away from his home on Bell Road at 7:54 am.
Background
Michael MacDougal was born on March 12, 2005. At the time of his disappearance he was living with his mother, Anne Cline, and his stepfather in Stilwell, Oklahoma. His biological father is deceased.
According to loved ones, Michael was a good kid who didn’t case any trouble, and had not been in any arguments with his family at the time of his disappearance. Described as an introvert, he wasn’t known to venture off and walk the roads.
Authorities initially believed Michael may have ran away since there were no signs of foul play, however there were no reported conflicts at home or school that would have prompted him to leave.
Disappearance
At 7:54 am on December 10, 2020, Michael MacDougal was captured on security video leaving his home on Bell Road in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
He was wearing his brother’s size 9.5 hiking boots, which were a full size too small for him.
His mother reported him missing at 6:47pm that evening after he failed to return home.
Investigation
Authorities believe Michael left home on his own accord that morning, but that something happened which prevented him from returning. He did not have his phone, money, or ID with him.
Multiple searches in the area with the help of K9 units, drones, and helicopters were conducted, but no further clues as to Michael’s whereabouts were found.
Security footage from the area shows two possible vehicles of interest; a white SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban, and a black pickup truck resembling an early 2000s model Chevrolet or GMC. Both vehicles were driving on Bell Road between 7:50-8:00 am on the day Michael disappeared.
Police are not calling the drivers suspects, but would like to interview them for any information they may have regarding Michael’s case. Photos of the vehicles can be seen below.
There was a possible sighting of Michael in Westville (about 15 miles away from Stilwell), though that sighting was never verified.
“We’ve had some call-in tips and checked them all, but nothing. We are hoping for a break. If people remember anything, we’d like to know. There has been no further communication on his cell phone, or activity on any of the gaming sites the teen used to do,” Adair County Sheriff Jason Ritchie told the Stilwell Democrat Journal.
Appearance
White male born on March 12, 2005. Michael has red hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance he stood 5’9 tall and weighed 180 pounds.
Clothing & Accessories
Michael was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, white sweatpants, and his brother’s size 9.5 hiking boots, which were a size too small for him.
