Age: 33 years old
Last Seen:
May 11, 1990
Location: Pensacola, Florida
Status: Still missing

Case Information

33 year old Marjorie Cain was last seen in Pensacola, Florida on May 11, 1990. She was last seen by her son at their home in the 100 block of southeast Gilliland Street that evening.

Background

Marjorie Cain was born on June 17, 1956. She had been working at the Pensacola Naval Air Station for about nine years.

She was previously married to Gary Bernard Breeze and was living with her ten year old son at the time of her disappearance.

Disappearance

On the evening of May 11, 1990, Marjorie Cain was last seen by her son at their home in the 100 block of Gilliland Street in Pensacola, Florida.

When her son woke up the following morning she was gone, but her purse was still inside the house. Since she was usually gone for work by that time her absence wasn’t unusual, and her son went to school as normal.

At 1:30 pm on May 12, 1990, Marjorie was officially reported missing after she failed to return home.

Investigation

When police arrived to the residence they found bloodstains and drag marks on the porch and walkway. Bloody boot prints were also visible, as well as evidence that someone had tried to clean up inside.

At 2:40 pm on May 12, 1990, Marjorie’s car was found a few blocks away from her home next to the beach on the corner of SE Gilliland Road and Sunset Road.

There was some blood in the trunk, and the driver’s seat was pushed back far, indicating someone much taller than Marjorie had been driving.

The blood was tested and subsequently identified as belonging to Marjorie.

In the summer of 1992, Marjorie’s ex-husband, Gary Bernard Breeze, was charged with her murder after allegedly telling numerous people he had killed her. He had also bragged about not getting caught since there was no body.

Breeze was convicted of second degree murder in 1993 and sentenced to forty years in prison, despite Marjorie’s body never being found.

Appearance

White female born on June 17, 1956. Marjorie has brown hair, hazel eyes, stands 5’3 tall, and weighs 130 pounds.
