Madeline Kingsbury missing Minnesota

Name: Madeline Jane Kingsbury
Nickname: Maddi
Age: 26 years old
Last seen: March 31, 2023
Location: Winona, Minnesota
Status: Still Missing

Case Information

26-year-old Madeline Kingsbury was last seen in Winona, Minnesota on March 31, 2023. She disappeared after dropping her two children off at daycare.

Background

Madeline Jane Kingsbury was born on June 1, 1996. She is a mother of two children, ages 5 and 2.

Kingsbury graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Winona State University in 2019. She was attending the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in a Master in Public Health program.

At the time of her disappearance, Kingsbury was living with her two children and their father, Adam Fravel, in Winona, Minnesota. She worked as a clinical research coordinator at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

While still living together, Kingsbury and Fravel were no longer in a relationship and she was in the process of moving out of the home they shared. She was looking to stay in the Winona area so her children could be close to their father.

Disappearance

On March 31, 2023, Madeline Kingsbury was last seen at her home in Winona, Minnesota.

That morning, Kingsbury and Fravel dropped their children off at daycare shortly after 8:00 am before returning home. At 8:15 am, she sent a text message to her sister in which she replied to a funny picture.

Around 10:00 am, Fravel reportedly left home to run errands in the van Kingsbury normally drives, a dark blue 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, but when he returned later that day Kingsbury was nowhere to be seen.

Madeline Kingsbury never showed up to work that morning and hasn’t been heard from since. She didn’t pick up her children from daycare that afternoon or make any of her other arrangements.

That evening her family filed a missing person’s report with the Winona Police Department when they couldn’t contact her.

Investigation

Authorities found no indication to suggest that Kingsbury left on foot or in another vehicle. She left most of her belongings at home, including her wallet, cellphone, identification, and the jacket she wore that morning.

On March 31, 2023, a blue van matching the couple’s vehicle description was captured on surveillance camera traveling along County Road 12 and Highway 43 in Winona County, and later in the eastern part of Filmore county, between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm.

Authorities are asking residents of Winona and eastern Filmore counties to check their properties and cameras for any signs of a blue van passing through or stopping along Highway 43 corridor between 8:00 am on March 31 to 4:00 pm April 1, 2023.

Foul play is suspected in Madeline Kingsbury’s disappearance, but authorities have not yet named a person of interest or suspect in her case.

Whereabouts

The investigation into Madeleine Kingsbury’s disappearance is currently ongoing and active. A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Madeline’s discovery.

The circumstances of Madeline Kingsbury’s disappearance remain unclear and her case is currently classified as missing. Her case remains unsolved.
