Investigation
On April 5, 2016, Sidney’s 2010 Dodge Charger was found abandoned in the 2400 block of Milam in Houston, more than 150 miles away from where he and Krislyn were last seen.
Some of Krislyn’s belongings were found inside the vehicle, including her purse. In the backseat investigators found a large pool of blood, as well as evidence of blood and hair in the trunk.
Blood evidence was also found in Cypher’s home, located in the 6800 block of Montana in Austin.
When police traced their cell phones, they found that Krislyn, Sidney, and Cypher’s phones were all together at Cypher’s home at 3:00 am on April 2, 2016. At 7:30 am, all three phones left together and traveled to Houston.
Their cellphones showed activity in a large rural tract near Lockhart, but searches of the area turned up no further evidence.
At 5:00 pm, Cypher’s phone traveled without Krislyn’s and Sidney’s phones and headed back to Austin on a Megabus.
Purchases Cypher made from a local Walmart on April 3rd suggest he was attempting to dispose of their remains.
