Case Information
27 year old Keyonna Cole was last seen in Brooksville, Florida on February 10, 2019. She disappeared the day before she was set to give testimony in an attempted homicide case.
Background
Keyonna Cole was born on March 31, 1991. She had been struggling with substance abuse issues for about four years, but always stayed in touch with family.
Her loved ones say it’s uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning, and that she would never have left her 3 year old son behind.
“It didn’t matter what was going on she never went off and not called any of the family no one has never not seen her,” Cole’s cousin Siamone Rodgers said.
In October 2018, Keyonna was the victim of domestic attempted homicide, which resulted in the death of her 5 month old unborn child, Xavier. Keyonna said the incident took place after her ex-boyfriend, Dwayne Williams, lured her to Russell Street Park in Brooksville and attacked her.
Dwayne Williams was charged with killing an unborn child, attempted second-degree murder, and resisting arrest.
She was set to give a deposition about the incident on February 11, 2019, the day after she disappeared.
Disappearance

On February 10, 2019, Keyonna Cole was dropped off on Shady Oak Villa Circle in Brooksville, Florida to visit a friend.
She left the friend’s residence around 11:00 pm, and was last seen walking down Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard towards Broad Street. Keyonna hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
She was supposed to pick up her son from a family member’s house the following morning and drop him off at daycare, but never showed up.
Investigation
Keyonna disappeared the night before she was set to attend a meeting with the State Attorney’s Office about the attempted homicide case against her ex-boyfriend, Dwayne Williams.
The charges against Williams were subsequently dropped after Keyonna failed to appear. Prior to her disappearance, she had been getting threats about testifying and was scared, according to her cousin.
Foul play is suspected in Keyonna’s case. Her ex-boyfriend is the sole person of interest, but to date no arrests have been made.
“Anybody that knows about the case anything about the case please reach out to the sheriff’s department. If you know anything, please speak up, don’t hide it. Don’t cover it up. Speak up. Clear your heart. Give me and my family some peace. Some justice,” said Keyonna’s aunt, Latosha Cole.
