Background
Kara Lorynn Hyde was born on October 2, 1998.
At the time of her disappearance, Hyde was living at her mother’s house on Grand Boulevard in Hamilton, Ohio. She attended Miami University in Oxford.
According to her family, Hyde struggled with mental health issues from a young age and started to show symptoms of bipolar disorder at age 15. Plagued with anxiety and depression, she later showed signs of histrionic disorder and borderline personality disorder.
Disappearance
On December 5, 2021, Kara Hyde was last seen around 1:30 pm when she left her mother’s house on Grand Boulevard in Hamilton, Ohio. Her mother’s birthday was the day before and she supposedly went to get her a present.
Kara Hyde never returned home and hasn’t been heard form since.
On December 18, 2021, her mother filed a missing person’s report with the Hamilton Police Department when she couldn’t contact her.
Investigation
In January 2022, a bag of Kara’s clothes was found by her family in Crawford Woods in Hamilton. Authorities later conducted a search in the area but found no clues as to Kara’s whereabouts.
According to her family, Hyde struggled with drug addiction and may have placed herself in danger. Her social media has had no activity since her disappearance and her phone goes straight to voicemail.
Kara had gone missing for a few days at a time in the past, but never for this long. Her mother says it’s unlike her to not answer her phone or be on social media.
Whereabouts
Police found no evidence of foul play in Kara Hyde’s disappearance. A $4,000 reward is being offered by her family and the Hamilton Police Department for information leading to Kara Hyde’s discovery.
The circumstances of Kara Hyde’s disappearance remain unclear and her case is currently classified as missing. Her case remains unsolved.
Appearance
Physical Description:
White female born on October 2, 1998. Kara has blonde hair, brown eyes, stands 5′ 8” tall and weighs 120 pounds.
Distinctive Physical Features:
Kara has multiple tattoos including a skull and a snake on her right forearm, a girl crawling out of a well, the word “Steven” on her left forearm, a garter belt and the word “loser” with the S crossed out and replaced with a V on her left thigh. Her ears and navel are pierced.
Clothing and accessories:
Kara was last seen wearing a faux fur vest and jeans.

How thorough was the woods checked / search , how far is the woods from her mothers home ? .
Most of these people that go missing / disappear seem to have medical problems , or from broken families .
What , if any of the tattoos on her body have any significance , especially the name ” Steven ” , did her mother know most of her friends from university , did any of her friends from school follow her to the university , and was in the same faculty ? .
