76 year old Juanita Clowney was last seen by family in Detroit, Michigan on the evening of November 2, 2025. Clowney, who may be in the early stages of dementia, disappeared after dropping her daughter off at work.
Disappearance
At 6:00 pm on November 2, 2025, Juanita Clowney dropped her daughter off at work at the Henry Ford Hospital Main Campus in the 2799 block of West Grand Boulevard in Detroit.
Juanita was supposed to pick her up at 7:00 am the following morning, but never arrived.
According to police she might be in the early stages of dementia. Six hours after she dropped her daughter off at work she was seen driving through Clay Township, Michigan. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Investigation
Juanita was last seen driving a blue Chevy Trailblazer with Michigan license plate number BQK 027. There have been no confirmed sightings since she was seen driving in Clay Township on the night of November 2.
Clowney has congestive heart failure that requires daily medication. All of her medication was left behind at the hotel where she’s been staying in Madison Heights.
Body Recovered From the St Clair River
On November 10, 2025, the body of Juanita Clowney was reovered from the St Clair River’s North Channel.
She was found in a submerged vehicle near a boat ramp. Investigators believe she was in the submerged vehicle for about a week.
Appearance
Juanita has brown hair, brown eyes, stands 5’5 tall, and weighs 210 pounds.
