Disappearance
On October 9, 2020, Jorden Nebling and a male friend drove a borrowed car from Travelers Rest to see friends in Cowpens, South Carolina. At some point, her friend left with another friend while Jorden stayed behind.
On October 10, 2020, Jorden decided to drive back alone to Travelers Rest, but her borrowed car unexpectedly broke down in front of a house on Old White Horse Road in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
Around 1:30 pm, Jorden was last seen by the house’s resident when she got into the car of a man who came to pick her up. Jorden Nebling never returned home and hasn’t been heard from since.
On November 8, 2020, her stepmother filed a missing person’s report with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office after not being able to get in contact with her.
Investigation
Authorities determined that Jorden had contacted her ex-boyfriend, Tyler Wilkens who lived in Travelers Rest, to come pick her up. He claimed that he drove Jorden to his place, but that she walked away on her own after they got into an argument.
Jorden and Wilens had dated for two years and briefly lived together when she was seventeen. Tyler Wilkens has not been charged with any crimes in connection to Jorden’s disappearance.
South Carolina Man Charged with Murder of Girlfriend and Baby
On November 10, 2022, Jorden’s ex-boyfriend Tyler Wilkens was arrested and charged with kidnapping, murder, and child neglect in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Clarrissa Michelle Winchester, and their newborn son.
Wilkens is accused of confining Winchester inside a relative’s home and assaulting her, which caused blunt force trauma to her head and neck. He is currently awaiting trial.
Whereabouts
Foul play is suspected in Jorden Nebling’s disappearance, but authorities found no evidence of a crime.
The circumstances of Jorden’s disappearance remain unclear and her case is currently classified as missing. Her case remains unsolved.
