51 year old John Daniel DeMarino was last seen on January 30, 2019 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was last around midnight at Uncle Mike’s Bar on Seventh Street.
Background
John went through a divorce about five months prior to his disappearance, and had been living with his mother in Spencer, West Virginia. He leaves behind two children.
His loved ones say it’s uncharacteristic of him to be out of contact with them for any extended period of time.
There’s no evidence that he planned to disappear; he had no trouble with the law, and had recently purchased tickets for a basketball game that he was planning to attend with his son.
Disappearance
Between 10:30-11:00 pm on January 30, 2019, John DeMarino left his mother’s house in Spencer to head to Uncle Mike’s Bar in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
He was last seen shortly before midnight at Uncle Mike’s Bar & Grill, located at 706 7th Street in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
John ordered a beer, drank half of it, then walked away about 30 minutes later. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
An employee assumed he had just gone to the bathroom, but he never returned to finish his drink.
Investigation
John had his wallet, cell phone, and car keys with him when he left the bar that night. He was driving his mother’s vehicle, a 2015 silver Ford Escape.
The last ping on his cell phone was from a tower near Elizabeth on a call originating from his phone on the day he disappeared.
On February 8, 2019, the vehicle he was driving was found unlocked and abandoned at Love’s Truck Stop in Conneaut, Ohio, a three and a half hour drive from Parkersburg.
A phone charger, empty bag of chips, and a cup full of change was found inside, but no sign of John.
According to staff at the truck stop, the vehicle had been parked there for 3-4 days taking up two spaces.
Appearance
White male with a shaved bald head and brown eyes. John stands 6’2 tall and weighs 170 pounds. He always wears a beanie.
He has a scar on the back of his head that looks like 3-4 rows of about 8 white circles, where hair was removed.
John has several tattoos; an infinity symbol on his upper left arm, arrows and circles in red and black on his inner right arm, and the Roman numeral XIII on his upper right arm.
Clothing & Accessories:
John was last seen wearing a red hoodie under a green winter jacket, khaki pants, brown work boots, and a black beanie.
