More than 6 months after he went missing, 37 year old Jeremy Stout has been found deceased in Knoxville, Tennessee.
On November 28, 2022, a set of human remains were found inside a vacant school building in Knoxville. They were sent to the Regional Forensic Center and later identified as belonging to Stout.
The remains were found by a person overseeing the building remodel at the Knoxville Baptist Christian School, located at 2434 East Fifth Avenue. Police say they found no signs of foul play at the scene.
Jeremy Stout disappeared from Knoxville on May 7, 2022, after purchasing a bus ticket to see his parents for Mother’s Day.
Stout last spoke on the phone with his mother at 5:37 pm that day, saying he was going to take the 11:55 pm bus from the Greyhound bus stop on Cherry Street and that he would see her on Mother’s Day.
Jeremy Stout never made it to his parents’ home and has never been heard from again. On May 9, 2022, his father filed a missing person’s report with the Knoxville Police Department.
Greyhound Lines confirmed that Jeremy Stout’s electronic ticket was used, but authorities found no evidence to prove that he actually got onto the bus in Knoxville, nor that he got off at his destination in Johnson City, Tennessee.
From Knoxville.
The Greyhound bus stop is on a dangerous part of Knoxville. There is no shelter no lighting no protection. Don’t why Greyhound would have chosen such an area except close to interstate. This man was murdered. I hope the Keystone Cops can figure it out. NOT hopeful. Terrible for the family.
