Disappearance
On May 11, 2025, Ishmel Evans was taken to Grand Mental Health in Tulsa, Oklahoma by police after becoming combative while drinking.
On May 12, 2025, Ishmel was discharged from the medical center without his guardian receiving notification. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Upon learning that he had been released from the medical center his family reported him missing to the Tulsa Police Department.
Ishmel suffers from Wernicke–Korsakoff syndrome (WKS), a condition that mimics dementia. WKS worsens over time and can be life threatening without treatment.
His family is concerned for his safety, as he can become disoriented and may not know where he is.
Appearance
Black male with salt and pepper hair and hazel eyes. Ishmel stands 5’9 tall and weighs 180 pounds.
