Disappearance

On April 4, 2026, Hadari Darden was last seen by his family near Curtis and Gilman Streets in Berkeley, California, where he lives.

He made it to a hair appointment in Oakland later afternoon, but missed plans with family the following day.

Around 1:15 am on April 5, 2026, a security guard noticed Darden walking in Daly City at the Skyline Plaza Shopping Center. Police were called to the location, and he was briefly questioned (body cam screenshot from the encounter is posted below). Police said he seemed normal and let him walk off. Hadari hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Loved ones say it’s highly uncharacteristic of him to go missing without warning and be out of contact.

Investigation

“I have no idea as to why he was in that area, and it’s a concern because that area is very far away from public transportation. Hadari doesn’t have a vehicle. He does have a driver’s license, but he doesn’t have a vehicle, and that place is very far away from public transportation,” Hadari’s mother told KTVU.

His mother has been worried about her son’s mental state lately, and fears he might be suffering from head injuries sustained during his football days.
