76 year old Garland Teel Ford was last seen on September 1, 2012 in Wilmer, Alabama. He disappeared after speaking with his daughter on the phone, telling her he wanted to move back home.
Disappearance
In March of 2012, Garland T. Ford moved from Arkansas to Alabama. At the time of his disappearance he was living with a married couple in Wilmer, Alabama, an unincorporated community near the Alabama-Mississippi border.
In September 2012, Garland spoke with his daughter on the phone, telling her he wanted to move back home. Garland hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
When questioned by authorities, the couple said Garland left their home on foot to head back to Arkansas. Due to Garland’s health at the time neither his family or police believe he would leave on his own.
Police searched the couple’s property located on Morgan Lane North, but found no clues as to Garland’s whereabouts.
Authorities were able to determine that the couple used Garland’s Social Security benefits throughout the Southern states after he went missing, but no one has ever been charged in connection with his disappearance.
Couple Convicted in Arkansas Kidnapping Case
In 2014 the couple was arrested on federal charges, accused of kidnapping a woman and two children in Arkansas and taking them to Deming, New Mexico.
Authorities were hopeful they’d be able to find out what happened to Garland while they were in custody, but to this day no one has been charged with his disappearance.
The couple and their son were all found guilty in the Arkansas kidnapping case, with the son receiving a 10 year prison sentence, his mother 24 years, and the father 30 years.

The location of Garland T. Ford, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, remains unknown. His case remains unsolved.
Appearance
White male born on July 3, 1935 with grey hair and hazel eyes. Garland stands 5’10” to 6’0″ tall and weighs 185 – 200 pounds. He has a receding hair line and a pacemaker.

I myself came to Mobile, Alabama. With a woman named Paula Cory Moore. In 2013. Paula had a older sister named Pearl massingel that lived at 9323 box road. In Semmes, Al. She also had another brother and sister named Polly and Jessie Hopper. Paula passed away nov.8, 2016. But, during our relationship she told me about this Garland Ford man. Said, he was staying with Pearl massingel, Jessie and Polly, Pearl was working for a judge Brown office at the bay hasse building on government St. I was asked to help clean up Pearls property on box road. And was helping clean up the outside property. And Pearl bring some paperwork that had Garland Ford name on them. Ect. To burn in a fire I had burning off shrubs tree limbs ,etc. And started digging to make a fire hole to burn in. And overheard Pearl ask Paula what I was doing looking for Garland ? And she said I didn’t know about that. Later I asked Paula about it. She told me Pearl distracted him, Polly hit him in the back of the head with a hammer, and Jessie cut him up with a chainsaw. And that she was not there but was informed by her sister Pearl what had happened. They robbed him, and Paula claimed she never knew how they got rid of the body. That she thinks they may have fed him to some hogs. Miss massingel supposedly had several properties her estranged husband James massingel left her after his death !
From, what I heard about the story, I believe their is a very good chance you may find more evidence or even discover remains at the sister’s of Polly and Jessie hoppers residents at 9323 Box road, Semmes Al 36575. Check septic tanks etc. because when I was helping clean up the property in 2016. Why was Pearl worried about me looking for his body, and her having paper work with his name throwing in a fire . Of brush from the yard. He was staying at the massingel residence on box Rd. Not wilmer. With the family of Polly Jessie Pearl ect
