Fredrick Joseph Boehm was born on April 2, 1977 and grew up in Marshall, Texas. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
At the time of his disappearance, Boehm was temporarily living at his best friend Coley Briggs’ house, staying with his family at their home on Victory Drive in Marshall, Texas. He was unmarried and had no children but had a girlfriend.
According to his family, Boehm was suffering from blackouts and was on antidepressant medications.
Disappearance
On January 25, 2001, Fredrick Joseph Boehm was last seen at his friend’s house in Marshall, Texas. His friend’s family, which included his friends girlfriend, their children, and his mother who was visiting were all present.
That evening, Boehm was dressed and ready for bed when he received an unexpected phone call from an unidentified caller on the house phone between 11:00 pm and midnight.
After the call Boehm changed clothes and left on foot, walking west down Victory Drive toward downtown Marshall. On his way out he told his friend’s girlfriend who was out on the porch that he would be back in the morning.
Fredrick Joseph Boehm never returned home and hasn’t been heard from since.
On February 3, 2001, his sister, Jolene Oney, filed a missing person’s report with the Marshall Police Department when she learned that Boehm had been missing for more than a week.
Investigation
Boehm didn’t have any means of transportation when he went missing, as his truck had been involved in a crash shortly before his disappearance.
Two individuals came forward shortly after Boehm’s disappearance, saying they saw a man matching his description walking around Marshall, but those sighting have never been confirmed.
Foul play is suspected in Fredrick Boehm’s disappearance, and authorities believe it to be drug related.

Fredrick has a scar around the middle of his forehead along his hairline. He has a tattoo of a flying Confederate flag on his right upper arm. He may have a mustache, beard or a goatee at the time of his disappearance.
Clothing and accessories:
Fredrick was last seen wearing a gray shirt, a green RealTree camouflage jacket, blue jeans, and boots. He might have been carrying a five-shot .357 Magnum revolver when he left.

If as a loner as stated , why was he staying with others at the time of his disappearance ? .
If he had the health issues as stated why was he allowed to posses a weapon of any form ? .
If he was into drugs , were the known ” drug – dens ” ever raided ? .
Was he expecting the call , as he could tell his friend that he would only be back in the morning ? .
Why would someone leave at that time of night , given that he did not have any form of transport , if it was someone that he knew well , they would surely know this and make arrangements for later in the morning ? .
