Case Information
20 year old Elaine park disappeared from Calabasas, California on January 28, 2017.
Disappearance
On the night of January 27, 2017, Elaine texted her mother before heading to the movies with her ex boyfriend, Divine Compere. At around 1:00 am, Elaine and her ex took an Uber back to his house, located in the 2600 block of Delphine Lane in Calabasas, and went to sleep shortly after.
On the morning of her disappearance, at approximately 4:00 am, Elaine’s ex boyfriend said she abruptly woke up and appeared to be having a panic attack. He says he tried convincing her to stay, but she left his house and drove away.
Surveillance footage shows her leaving her ex-boyfriend’s home at 6:05 am and walking towards her car. Investigator’s weren’t able to tell if she ended up getting into the car, therefore couldn’t conclude whether it was her or someone else driving away.
She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Investigation
Elaine’s mother reporter her missing with the Glendale Police Department on September 30, 2017, after not hearing from her in a few days.
Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, Elaine’s mother stated she didn’t look panicked or distressed as she was walking to her car.
Five days after she disappeared, On February 2, her gray four door 2015 Honda Civic was found abandoned on the side of the 26000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Corral Canyon Road in Malibu, California.
The doors to her car were unlocked, the keys were in the ignition, the lights were on, and the battery was dead. Elaine’s laptop, phone, backpack, driver’s license, money & other personal belongings were found inside the car.
Upon finding her car, police brought in dogs and divers to search the area, however no sign of Elaine was found.
Multiple searches in the cliffs of Malibu were conducted, but no evidence relating to her disappearance were found.
Whereabouts
Authorities state that Elaine’s ex boyfriend has been cooperative with the investigation, and they have no reason to suspect him as a person of interest.
Not long after she disappeared, a reward of $500,000 was raised for information leading to Elaine’s return, with an expiration date on her 21st birthday. It was the hope of her family that it would help generate new leads, however none came in and the reward was left unclaimed.
The circumstances regarding Elaine Park’s disappearance remain unclear, and her family doesn’t believe she would have ran away from home. Her case remains unsolved.
Appearance
Asian female, Korean American born on September 24, 1996. She has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 5’5″ tall, and weighs 125 pounds.
Has multiple tattoos: a dagger and flowers on her right arm, a rose on her left shoulder, and a cow skull and a moth on her left arm. Her ears and nose are pierced. At the time of her disappearance her hair was waist length and had blonde tips.
Was last known to be wearing a white sweatshirt and denim shorts.
