77 year old Doris Cova was last seen in Grants Pass, Oregon on May 7, 2016. Her van was found a few days later, parked at the Hog Creek boat ramp.
At the time of her disappearance, Doris lived in Grants Pass, Oregon. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she was known to hike in the forests around the Grants Pass area.
Doris Cova last spoke to her family on May 6, 2016. The following day she was seen by an employee at the Video Mart in Grants Pass, Oregon.
This is the last known sighting of Doris. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
On May 9, 2016, she was reported missing to the Grants Pass Police Department when her family stopped by for a planned visit and discovered Doris, as well as her van, were gone.
On May 10, 2016, authorities found Doris’ van, a white 2007 Chrysler Town & Country minivan with Oregon plate #094DDF, parked at the Hog Creek boat ramp.
Police say Doris is known to hike in the Grants Pass area, and believe she drowned in the Rogue River.
“We do believe Doris is likely in the river. Currently Josephine County Sheriff’s Office has a marine deputy that is searching the river,” Lieutenant Todd Moran said in a statement.
Her body has never been found.
The location of Doris Cova remains unknown, although authorities believe she drowned in the river. Police do not suspect foul play in her disappearance. Her case remains unsolved.
Doris was 77 years old when she went missing in 2016. She has shoulder length grey hair, stands 5’2 tall, and weighs 130 pounds.
