Age: 50 years old
Last Seen:
January 23, 2026
Location: Cody, Wyoming
Status: Found deceased on February 3, 2026

Case Information

50 year old David Kelsey was last seen in Cody, Wyoming on the night of January 23, 2026. He was last seen at his home in the 2400 block of Central Avenue.

Disappearance

David Kelsey was last seen at his home in the 2400 block of Central Avenue on the night of January 23, 2026. It is believed he left home on foot sometime between 11:00pm – 2:30am.

David is considered endangered missing, as he has both physical and mental health issues including an autoimmune disease that causes bone deterioration causing an off-gait walk.

His family says it’s uncharacteristic of him to be out of contact, and that he’s never disappeared in the past for any length of time.

Investigation

It is believed David left with his cell phone and wallet, since they haven’t been found at his home. He hasn’t been answering calls, and there’s been no activity on his bank account since he went missing.

Authorities have conducted several searches for him, but have been unable to find any information about his activities.

Law enforcement is asking anyone in the area to check their cameras and outbuildings for any signs of him.

“Please review home security, doorbell, and trail camera footage,” the Cody department wrote on Facebook. “Check outbuildings, sheds, garages, basements and other obscure or seldom-used areas on your property. Look in places someone might seek shelter or rest.”

David Kelsey Found Deceased

On February 3, 2026, the Cody Police Department announced that David Kelsey was found deceased in Beck Lake.

At this time there is no evidence of foul play, though the investigation into his death will continue.
