The Disappearance of Colby Richards
On May 26, 2023, Colby Richards was last seen by his wife at their home in Spring, Texas, when he got up early from bed around 5:00 am.
When Colby did not return to get ready for work, his wife went to check for him and noticed that the gate in the backyard was left open, which was unusual as the family has two small children and a dog.
Colby Richards never returned home and hasn’t been heard from since. His wife filed a missing person’s report with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office when he didn’t return.
Colby Richards disappeared without his cell phone or wallet, which he left behind at home.
Upon searching the area, authorities found a water bottle of Colby’s near the Greenway Trail, located across the street from where their backyard gate opens up to.
According to his family, Colby occasionally went for walks in the Greenway trail behind his house, either in the morning or after work.
Colby’s family has been organizing searches in the area after the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office suspended their woodland searches after several days.
