Christine Tail is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota.

At the time of her disappearance, Tail had recently moved to Denver, Colorado with her girlfriend. She is originally from South Dakota and often lived with her mother.

Disappearance

On June 14, 2023, Christine Tail was last seen in Denver, Colorado where she had recently moved with her girlfriend.

Around 7:00 p.m, the couple were exploring the city’s downtown area during their first night in town when Tail reportedly wandered off near the 1400 block of Champa Street.

Her girlfriend later spent the night looking for her but to no avail. Christine Tail has never been heard from again.

On June 17, 2023, her family filed a missing person’s report with the Denver Police Department when they couldn’t contact her.

Investigation

On June 18, 2023, authorities issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert, designed to be activated within eight hours of a report to law enforcement of a missing Indigenous adult.

Physical Description:
Native American female with brown hair and hazel eyes. Christine is 5’4 tall and weighs 130 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, her hair was bleached blonde with pink tips.

Distinctive Physical Features:
Christine has a tattoo of stars down her neck.

Clothing and accessories:
Christine was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a gay pride logo, blue shorts, and white tennis shoes.
