72 year old Charles Kaiser was lase seen in Lander, Wyoming on September 27, 2022. He disappeared while hiking to the Blue Ridge Fire Lookout, just off Loop Road.
Background
Charles Kaiser is from Michigan and lived in the metro Detroit area for most of his life. He worked at R.L. Deppman for eight years, then a couple other Detroit area representatives until he retired in 2013.
Disappearance
On September 27, 2022, Charles Kaiser was last seen hiking the half mile trail to the Blue Ridge Fire Lookout in Lander, Wyoming.
Kaiser started the hike without his partner who was still packing. When his hiking partner arrived at the end of the trail a half lour later, Kaiser was gone. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
At 1:30 pm his hiking partner called 911 to report Charles missing.
Investigation
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and Fremont County Search & Rescue Team conducted multiple searches in the area using bloodhounds, several ground search teams, volunteers, and a helicopter, but no further clues as to his whereabouts have been found.
It is believed Charles became lost or injured on the trail.
Appearance
Charles has white hair, blue eyes, stands 5’8-5’10 tall, and weighs 255-265 pounds. He was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
