Christina Powell Disappearance

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has listed the cause of death for Christina Powell as Hyperthermia with alcohol related complications, ruling her death an accident.

Christina’s body was found inside her car on July 23, parked at the Huebner Oaks Shopping Center, nearly three weeks after she went missing.

The 39 year old mother of two was last seen on July 5, 2022, leaving her San Antonio home on her way to work. She told her mother she was running late for work, and was last seen on their Ring doorbell cam at 10:34 am.

Powell drove away in her vehicle, a 2020 black Nissan Rogue with the Texas license plate PYJ-8564. When she received a call from the law firm she said she had overslept on the July 4th weekend and was on her way in.

The route from her home to the office located near Interstate-10 and Vance Jackson Road was approximately seven miles, and usually took around fifteen minutes to drive.

Christina Powell never showed up to work and was never heard from again.

Powell left her medications and Apple Watch behind at home, and her cell phone was found on the bathroom counter.

On July 8, 2022, a missing person’s report for Christina Lee Powell was filed with the San Antonio Police Department.

On July 23, 2022, the body of Christina Powell was found inside her vehicle at the Huebner Oaks Center in the 11700 block of Interstate 10 West after a security guard reported a suspicious vehicle. It is believed her car had been there for more than a week.

Police did a bang up job. Her car was probably parked there the whole time she was missing. Deflecting saying it had only been there a week.
My suggestion, when someone goes missing, hire a private eye to search.
