Edwards was living with his grandmother in northwest Knoxville, Tennessee at the time of his disappearance. He was on multiple medications for seizures and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which could possibly affect his memory.
At the time of his disappearance, Edwards was in a relationship with his girlfriend of two years, Kanesha Bond. She was pregnant at the time, and gave birth to a daughter on April 14, 2022, about one month after he disappeared.
Disappearance
On March 19, 2022, Byron Edwards spoke with his grandmother on the phone, who reminded him to go to the church with her the next day. Edwards went to his girlfriends’ house, and told his grandmother he would be coming back.
On March 20, 2022, Edwards was last seen at his girlfriend’s house in the 2300 block of Riverside Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee. Around 4:30 pm he started to make calls, looking for a ride to his grandmother’s house since he doesn’t drive.
When no one was able to pick him up, Edwards decided to make the trip to his grandmother’s home on foot, about 10 miles away. Around 6:30 pm, he was last seen walking away from his girlfriend’s house by the back door and heading off into the woods.
Byron Edwards never returned home to his grandmother’s house and hasn’t been heard from since. He missed a doctor’s appointment in Nashville later that week for his baby, who was diagnosed with a rare heart condition.
Byron’s grandmother called him multiple times following his disappearance but got no answer. She immediately knew something was wrong, as he would always pick up the phone for her.
On March 22, 2022, his family filed a missing persons report with the Knoxville Police Department when they couldn’t contact him.
Investigation
Authorities conducted multiple searches with the assistance of K-9 unites in the area where Byron was last seen, in the 2300 block of Riverside Drive and the surrounding woods, but found no clues as to his whereabouts.
Edwards disappeared along with his cell phone, which last pinged to a cell tower on View Park Drive in Knoxville. His bank account has had no activity since he went missing.
Whereabouts
Police found no evidence of foul play in Byron Edwards’s disappearance. The investigation is currently ongoing and active.

No mention is made of his siblings or parents with his Grandmother, when they talk about family are they talking only about the Grandmother and himself ? .
One of the tattoo ‘ s on his forearm” family ” , although he stay ‘ s with his Grandmother , if there was disagreement in the family , did he have the tattoo on before or after he knew that he was going to be a father/ parent , as he was looking forward to been both ? .
