Case Information
34 year old Brett Parrett was last seen in Stephenson, Michigan on April 5, 2026. He was last seen walking along West Road G-12, also known as County Road 352.
Disappearance

On the evening of April 5, 2026, Brett Parrett was hanging out with friends at the Wild Eagle Bar & Grill in Stephenson, Michigan.
According to loved ones, he left the bar to walk to another friends house. Those friends later gave him a ride to a woman’s house near Camp Shakey Saloon.
Text messages from Brett show he contacted those same friends asking for a ride back about an hour later. The friends said they’d pick him up after a short delay.
Brett said he would be walking down County Road G-12 back towards U.S. 41 to meet them. The walk back would have been five to seven miles. The friends were reportedly not able to make contact with him and were unable to find him when they arrived to pick him up.
Brett’s phone records show he repeatedly attempted to call both his daughter and father on the night of April 5, 2026. He left his father a voicemail around 10:30 pm, expressing frustration about being lost.
He was last heard from shortly before midnight when he called his young daughter, telling her he was walking along County Road G-12 west of Stephenson. He said he had been walking for about 45 minutes, was currently lost, and that his phone was about to die. He hasn’t been heard from since.
Parrett was said to have been in a very good mood and had no health issues. No evidence of foul play in his disappearance has been found.
Investigation
Two days after he went missing, a witness came forward and reported seeing him standing along the road between G-12 and Palmer Road between 8:00-9:00 pm on the night he went missing. The witness offered him a ride, but Brett declined the offer.
On April 7, 2026, Brett’s sister in law and a friend found his Green Bay Packers hat along County Road G-12, roughly 5 miles from the woman’s home where he had been walking from to meet his friends.
“I was under the assumption that he was walking (towards Highway 41) with a cell phone dying and it’s pitch black out there at night, (he) lost footing and kind of fell and that’s where the hat fell off, and he wasn’t able to locate it. Then maybe he kept walking,” she told Daily Press.
Another credible sighting came in that placed him miles down the road, heading west without his hat.
Multiple searches of the area have turned up no further clues as to his whereabouts.
Loved ones have started a Facebook group dedicated to finding him. ‘Our greatest goal remains bringing Brett home. We are asking property owners within the G-12 area—and extending approximately 20 miles in every direction—to check trail cameras, security cameras, outbuildings, wooded areas, and other parts of their property.’
