At the time of her disappearance she had been working as a bartender at Carl’s Bad Tavern for two weeks. She also ran two home cleaning service branches, one in State College and one in Williamsport.

Described as a reliable person by family and friends, it is uncharacteristic of her to go missing without warning.

Disappearance

Brenda Condon was last seen working as a bartender at Carl’s Bad Tavern in Spring Township, Pennsylvania between 12:45 am – 1:15 am on February 27, 1991. The bar is located in a rural area on State 550, two miles north of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania near Interstate 80.

A patron last saw her speaking to an unknown male at the bar that evening.

She was working a double shift that night, so was expected to close up the bar that evening before returning to begin her day shift at 10:00 am. That shift was scheduled to end at 6:00 pm.

When other employees came to work that evening they found the bar abandoned and unlocked. The lights were off, and the receipts from the prior evening had been put away.

Brenda’s grey 1986 Mercury Capri was in the parking lot and her cowboy boots were found in the men’s restroom, but Brenda was nowhere to be found.

The boots were the only shoes she had with her that night, and it is unknown if their placement was related to her disappearance.

She was reported missing that evening, but police didn’t begin investigating her disappearance until she failed to pick up her two children on March 2.

Investigation

There were no signs of a struggle, break-in, or robbery inside the bar. Although Brenda’s car was found in the parking lot, her purse and keys have never been recovered.

The bar owner said nothing was taken, so theft was ruled out.

Multiple searches were conducted in the area of the bar, but no further clues as to her whereabouts have been found.

There were three unknown white male patrons at the bar on the night Brenda disappeared that investigators wanted to question.

The first male is described as about 40 years old, 6’2 tall, wearing a bright blue down jacket and jeans. The second individual was 25-30 years old, 5’8 tall, wearing a black leather coat, white button down shirt, and jeans. The third male stands 5’8, is about 50 years old, and was wearing a dark colored jacket, dark slacks, and a brown plaid shirt.

Though the men have been not named as suspects, their identities remain unknown.

State Police Cpl. Joe Cigich stated “Nothing pointed to (Greg’s) involvement to (Brenda’s) disappearance at the time. There’s been nothing since come to light.”

Were the bussinesses both hers , what is the distance between them , what sort of clientele does the business attract , who took over the business when she disappeared ? .
Given the hours that she worked at the pub , who helped her in the business ? .
Could the men that she spoke to have been involved in the drug – ring in some , given that they were ” unknown ” , and threathened her for money owed by them by Greg >? .
What time did the other employees arrive for their shift ? .
