Case Information

41 year old Brandy English was last seen in Middletown, Ohio on May 11, 2016. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Disappearance

On May 11, 2016, Brandy English was last seen in Middletown, Ohio. She hasn’t been heard from since. Her daughter reported her missing a few weeks later after not hearing from her.

Investigation

Brandy’s friend, Lindsey Bogan, was found murdered in Madison Township, Ohio in July 2016. Prior to being discovered, Bogan had been missing for ten months, and Brandy had been helping police with the investigation into her disappearance.

Police believe Bogan was murdered in September 2015 in the basement of her Madison Township farm. Her murder remains unsolved, and it’s unclear if Brandy’s disappearance is related.

Brandy is one of four Middletown women who disappeared between May 2016 and May 2017. All of the women were involved with drug use and sex work, and all were known to frequent the same area near Manchester Avenue and Central Avenue in Middletown.

One of the women, Michelle Burgan, was found deceased in Moraine, Ohio in September 2018. Her body was found behind Gilbert Revere’s home, who is one of the people she was last seen with before disappearing in May 2017.

Gilbert was not charged with murder, but he was charged with tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse, and failure to report knowledge of a death in connection with her case.

The other two Middletown women, Amber Nicole Flack and Melinda Sue Miller, remain missing.

It’s unclear if all of the cases are related. “Right now there is no indication that the cases are linked, but there is no evidence that they aren’t,” Middletown Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw said in 2018. “These women literally disappeared without a trace, but we are determined to find them.”
