The Disappearance of Danielle Moss
32-year-old Danielle Moss was last seen in Washington DC on April 9, 2023. She disappeared after leaving a family gathering in the early morning hours during Easter weekend.
Disappearance
On April 8, 2023, Danielle Moss spoke on the phone with Andre Hudson, the father of her 3-year-old son, who was away on vacation with their son. The two were in contact every day and had a good co-parenting relationship.
While at work, Moss spoke on the phone with her stepmother and father, telling them both she was gonna come over the next day for Easter Sunday dinner.
That evening, Moss attended a family gathering to celebrate the Saturday before Easter, like she did every holiday, until 1:00 am when everyone left to return home.
On April 9, 2023, Moss was reportedly last seen between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm at Minnesota Liquors in Washington DC, a liquor store on Minnesota Avenue Southeast, about a block from her home in the 2300 block of Q Street.
Danielle Moss never showed up for Easter Sunday dinner with her family and hasn’t been heard from since. She did not respond to her son’s father’s phone calls and didn’t show up for work on Monday.
On April 11, 2023, her family filed a missing person’s report with the Metropolitan Police Department when they couldn’t contact her.
Investigation
The last reported sighting of Danielle at the liquor store on April 9 has not been confirmed. Authorities were unable to obtain any photos or surveillance video of Danielle at the store.
According to her family, Moss had been involved with some people who didn’t have her best interests in mind.
Authorities spoke to one individual with whom Moss had been recently involved with, but he has not been named a person of interest in her disappearance.
Danielle’s family says she would never abandon her 3 year old son.
When asked about the possibility of foul play, authorities stated “I don’t think, right now, we’re at a point where we can eliminate any particular action.”
