Case Information
34 year old Angie Tucker was last seen in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 3, 2007. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Disappearance
At 11:30 pm on November 3, 2007, Angie Tucker was last seen in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was living with her mother and two children in the area of Apache Street and Yale Avenue at the time.
Angie told her mother she was going out to buy cigarettes, but never returned.
Her co-workers at the Oklahoma State University Medical Center reported her missing after she failed to show up to work for several days.
Investigation
Foul play is suspected in Angie’s disappearance, and her former boyfriend, Allen Shields, is the main suspect.
About a month prior to her disappearance, Angie had accused Shields of rape.
She reported that on the morning of October 6, 2007, she awoke to find Shields breaking into her apartment. He sexually assaulted her before fleeing.
Angie obtained a restraining order against Shields after the incident.
Shields was subsequently arrested on charges of burglary and rape. He admitted to having sex with Angie, but said it was consensual. Shields posted bond and was released the same day.
Angie disappeared before she was scheduled to testify against Shields in court. The case was ultimately dismissed due to a lack of evidence.
In February 2010, Shields was charged with kidnapping, assault, and burglary when he went into another ex-girlfriend’s home with a gun, handcuffs, drugs, a mask, pepper spray, and disinfectant wipes.
He had broken into the home and waited for as long as thirteen hours for his ex-girlfriend and her 19 year old daughter to come home. He attacked the women as soon as they entered, however the daughter was able to call police. He was taken into custody shortly after.
Four of those charges ended up being dropped due to lack of evidence. Shields pleaded guilty to felony assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and was sentenced to house arrest.
In October 2010, Shields entered a guilty plea for conspiracy related to the murder of Neal Sweeney, a local businessman who died in September 2008. In exchange for his testimony against four other individuals, Shields received 10 years of probation.
In January 2011, authorities took a DNA sample from Shields in connection with the murder of Frederick Anthony Wilson, who had been killed during a home invasion in April 2008.
In April 2011, Shields took his own life following a standoff with police. He failed to appear in court and was found at his ex-girlfriends’ home, the same one he had broken into in February 2010.
He had taken his ex-girlfriend’s daughter hostage inside the home, and shot himself after releasing her.
Angie’s family fears they’ll never know what happened to her because the main suspect in her disappearance is dead.
