In the summer of 2023, Arnett got in trouble at work and lost her job as a live-in caretaker at an adult foster care home. She was due to be in court for that matter on July 13, 2023.
Amber was staying with a friend in Leslie, Michigan, south of Lansing in Ingham County, at the time of her disappearance.
Disappearance
On June 22, 2023, Amber Arnett left her friend’s home in Leslie, Michigan. She was supposed to travel to Lansing, Michigan to stay with her mother for a few days.
Prior to leaving she told her mother that she was not feeling safe where she was staying but did not disclose why.
On June 23, 2023, Arnett last contacted her family via social media. She was expected to arrive at her mother’s house on June 25.
At 2:00 pm on June 25, 2023, Arnett was last seen at a Dollar Tree store on South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Lansing, Michigan.
Amber never showed up to her mother’s house and hasn’t been heard from since. When she failed to show up her mother filed a missing persons report with the Lansing Police Department.
Investigation
On the evening of June 25, 2023, Arnett supposedly went to visit a male friend in a neighborhood just blocks away from her mother’s home, according to her mother who was able to gain access to her Facebook account.
Arnett’s last message was addressed to the person living there, saying she had arrived and asking him to open the gate. This is the last contact Amber appears to have had with anyone.
Her family believes foul play is involved in Amber‘s disappearance.
Several search parties have been held by friends and family in the area where Amber disappeared, but no clues as to her whereabouts have been found.
Her family started the “Help us find Amber” Facebook group to help spread awareness about her case.

The circumstances of Amber Arnett’s disappearance remain unclear and her case is currently classified as missing. Her case remains unsolved.
A private reward is being offered by the family for information leading to Amber’s location.

Physical Description:
White female with brown hair (possibly dyed red) and brown eyes. Amber is 5’4″ – 5’7″ tall and weighs 150 – 160 pounds.
Distinctive Physical Features:
Amber has multiple tattoos including flowers and “Beautiful Disaster” on her upper thigh, unknown writing on the opposite upper inner thigh, “MER” and a heart with black and red ink on her inner wrist, and a tattoo from her elbow to her wrist.
She has a scar above the right side of her lip, two linear scars on her abdomen, and a linear scar on her right hip. She has a piercing above her lip on the right side.
Clothing and accessories:
Amber was last seen wearing a black tank top with large white writing, jeans, and black tennis shoes with white soles.

My question is what her mom read off her Facebook telling her guy friend to open the gate she was there and then no one heard from her after that and no activity on Facebook again so where is and who is this “guy friend” was he questioned and was his home searched? He seems fishy
